Customizing Your Vintage Passport Wedding Invitations

To begin the design process, please specify your customization desires by answering each question below using the form we sent you via email. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@vintageinvites.com.

Timing

1. When would you like to send out your invitations? (Standard etiquette suggests 4-10 months prior to a wedding for save the dates and 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding for invitations) All invitations orders are shipped out within 6-8 weeks (and passport invitations take 8-12 weeks due to the extensive design process involved), counting from when the date the order form is returned and all the details needed to create the invites has been provided. Please note that we cannot guarantee delivery prior to the 8 week mark so if you need the order sooner, please request a rush order.
Please note that if the date you stated above is within the coming 6 weeks, you will be charged a rush order fee of $199 for shipping within 4 week, $150 for shipping within 6 weeks and $299 dollars for shipping within 2 weeks.  Note that rush orders are subject to availability.

Design, Color Scheme & Paper Selections

2. Please specify the color scheme and general style of your wedding. Knowing more about your wedding we can suggest combinations within your chosen design to suit your theme…

3. Please specify your choice of design by name, or linked to our website. Feel free to let us know if you would like to blend two or more designs to create the perfect invitation for you…

4. Please specify the color of paper you would like for your passport invitations. Options are as follows:
  • Gold-dusted Ivory
  • Shimmering White
  • Gold-dusted Vintage Cream (a very pale antique gold)
  • Shimmering Silver
  • Champagne Luster
  • Shimmering Vintage Latte
  • Oyster Pearl
  • Shimmering Rose Red
  • French Bright Hot Pink
  • High Quality Vintage Kraft (this selection leads to an additional cost of 35 cents per invitation (30 cents per page for passport invites))

5. Please specify if you would like the cover to be a different color. Note that this isn't included in the price of some of the passport designs so is an optional addition. Options are as follows:

PEASE NOTE:
* Our paper suppliers do not stock all the options at all times, therefore all of the options listed above are subject to availability.
* High Quality Vintage Kraft paper is only available for certain designs and increases the cost per invitation.

7. Please specify your preference of ribbon color (if included in your design). Note if ribbon has been selected, please specify two colors. A third color can be added for an additional 45 cents per invitation. If no preference is mentioned, we will choose colors from your color scheme.

Wax Seals:

8. Please select your choice of wax seal (if included in your design).

Please note that the seals marked as "large" are subject to a 30 cent additional charge per invitation.

9. Please specify the color of wax you would like (if included in your design). Options are as follows:

Wording, Envelopes & Addressing

10. Please specify your choice of fonts from our font lists attached to this email. Select a minimum of one Wording Font, and one Script Font, but of course, feel free to let us know if you would like to use more.
11. Please provide us with the wording you would like on your invitation. Passports include a minimum of 8 pages (counting back and front cover) and 10 pages if you want a different color for the cover. Additional pages can be added if need be.
IMPORTANT: Please note that in order to maintain accuracy, we copy & paste from the wording you provide, so please triple-check for spelling mistakes as we cannot be held responsible once the proofs are approved.

12. Please provide us with the wording you would like on your RSVP card. Don't forget to include the date you would like your guests to RSVP by.

13. Please provide the name and address you want printed on your RSVP envelopes.

14. Please provide the name and address you want printed on the back of your invitation envelopes. Note that this only applies if you selected return AND guest addressing. If the bride and groom are inviting, it is customary to include both of their names. If the parents are inviting, the return address on the invitation envelope should be the parents' names.
IMPORTANT: Please note again that we copy & paste your addresses, so please triple-check for spelling mistakes as we cannot be held responsible for wrong addresses.

15. If you wish to have stamps on your RSVP envelopes, please send one stamp per RSVP envelope as they need to be applied prior to wax sealing/charm/bow-tying. Stamps should be sent to the assembly studio at:

IMPORTANT: Please note that stamps cannot be added after assembly, as the RSVP envelope will not be accessible once the invitations have been produced.

Other

16. Please specify if you have any other special wishes for the customization of your invitation.
  • If you would like us to address your envelopes to your guests, we can provide this service for an additional fee of 85 cents per invitation. For guidelines on how to provide your guest address list please follow the detailed instructions HERE.
  • Additional inserts can be added as well. Layered card inserts start at $2.25 a piece, and paper inserts start at $1.45 cents a piece. Please note that space is limited on additional cards, so prices may vary if a large amount of wording is needed.
  • Note that if you want would like two different versions of your invites printed (two separate wordings, like if you need the invite in 2 languages, or if you have day and evening invites and so on) we charge a design fee of $99 as it requires additional design time, creation of additional print sheets and complicates the assembly process.
  • CHARMS: If you've selected a charm for your invite, we'll be in touch with our current selection.

17. IMPORTANT. How many invitations would you like in total? (Note that we can increase the number until the proofs are approved)
